Tafts initial passion for sports came from a background filled with athletes. Taft competed at various levels at college and school however, she ultimately decided to become a television broadcaster. Taft, who graduated from Boston University in broadcast journalism and a concentration in reports on sports and regional ties started her career as a reporter at Fox Sports North. In addition to covering sports, Taft also served as a contributor on social media and was the interim host for many games. Then she was promoted to join Fox Sports 1 as part of their News and Highlights team. Taft has reported on prestigious titles and reports them on the ground for FS1. When she was a reporter in the college sidelines football, she was elevated to be the primary college football reporter, along with Gus Johnson. At the time of writing her biggest accomplishment was being requested to serve as moderator for the cult TV series Skip and Shannon Undisputed the post that she has held to this date. In recent years she has hosted CFB Inside Slant in addition to as serving in the role of pit reporter on the Discovery show Battlebots.
